Old North State Militia

Letter From The State Director

I typically don’t write my full thoughts and concerns on this site. I hope this is taken in the spirit it is intended.

My thoughts lately have been that we can become so focused on the anti-constitutional forces, new world order, the UN, Islamic terrorists, and constitutional lines in the sand, that we miss the larger issues of our times. Our tunnel vision blinds us to the peripheral issues that are just as dangerous to family, friends, and communities. Granted that one day we may have to address those that would oppress our freedoms and liberties but if that day never arrives we have spent our energies, passions and lives shadow boxing an enemy. That tunnel vision can also cause us to focus on the smallest of projects while neglecting areas that will not only prepare you, your family and the Rangers for day to day survival, but also prepare you for that dreadful day when you have to wear camouflage and bear arms against a foreign or domestic enemy.

I posted the Day the Dollar Died series by John Galt to inspire you to think out side the box. “What do you do if “ scenarios of a very real possible event are meant to help us see that the day may come when the more likely event of a socio-economic collapse occurs. The boogie men of the alphabet federal government agencies will not be immediately knocking the door down to get your weapons, or cart your family off, or confiscate your food stores. More than likely you’ll be faced immediately with protecting your family and friends from those that did not heed the warning. Again, granted the tide may turn when those very forces of government turn their attention on you, but by then you have secured your family in a safe haven with like minded individuals prepared to defend them with the same vigor you would. But until that time you and your community may be faced with ice storms, power outages, hurricanes, floods, gang violence etc that can affect you just as dramatically and lethally. Until that day, preparing for it can be done by preparing yourself, your family, your neighbor, your sheriff, and your friends by building a series of concentric circles around yourself.

As a project manager I deal with variables everyday, those that I can control and those that are out of my control. I build contingencies for the unknowns so that the project stays on track for completion, but the best laid plans always change according to the situation or circumstances in the field. We can’t see all paths or end games, only plan and watch for those variables that can make the results turn for the worse. Knowing that I can not stay so focused on the trees that I lose focus on the forest.

I know the economic hardships of the times, (believe me I watch, read and listen way too much), I know everyone’s funds are limited especially this time of year, and becoming a NC Ranger requires a time and financial commitment that may be difficult. But sometimes things that are difficult to acquire are worth more in the end than things that are free. We are trying to make the financial commitment to the Ranger Corps as modest as possible, whether that means woodland camouflage, or a specific firearm, etc. I pray we as an organization retire them in our old aged never having to wear or use them. I hope we can say we helped our neighbors through a flood without federal assistance, or we helped displaced coastal citizens after a hurricane without federal assistance. If so,then we have serve our state and its citizens well.

I want to see a group of NC Rangers focused out side of the box of focusing on federal tyranny and becoming a group of North Carolina Citizens that are committed to the vision of NC Ranger Corps not the public’s vision of the militia.

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Sincerely,

Tyson Ruble

NCRC, State Director

Very well written Mr. Ruble!
You can never go wrong helping you're fellow citizens, as well as being prepared for anything, at anytime.
